Viable spores vs propagules, what is the difference?

Viable spores will connect with your plant’s root system and offer the many mycorrhizal benefits.

Propagules are parts of a mycorrhizal fungi. A propagule can be a viable spore, a non-viable spore, a vesicle, a hyphae, or an arbuscule.

Having propagules doesn’t guarantee the viability of the spores, and only viable spores will connect with your plant.
